Holly Hunter is an American actress and producer well recognized by her highly commendable performances in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The movie Piano has won several awards for her which included an Oscar. The path to acting began with Broadway with a variety of Broadway as well as Off Broadway projects. In her early years, Helen Keller was her favourite character in a fifth class play. Mumps made her lose her hearing in one of her ear canals, but that did not stop her from fulfilling her dream. In her early years, she took classes in drama at the college level and then moved to New York City from Pittsburgh in order to follow her dreams. Hunter was able to make her Broadway debut following an accidental encounter with Beth Henley, a playwright. They collaborated for Broadway Crimes of the Heart. After that, she made the move from New York to Los Angeles and tried to get films roles. In Swing Shift, she landed the role of a back-up. Since she was a part of the film she has appeared featured in a variety of TV shows and movies. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was also awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
